NieCat Blessings Academy was born from the experiences of founder and preschool director Miriam Carlota Arthur-Sullivan. NieCat Blessings Academy is a preschool & therapy center exclusively for children with special needs and unique abilities   

Working for Miami Dade County Public Schools for 31 years and retiring as a school administrator gave Carlota the need to continue to work with children. In July 2019 Carlota began her journey of principalship at Carpe Diem Academy, a school for special needs children from kindergarten to 22 years old.

NieCat provides exceptional young adults a safe-haven with opportunities to explore and realize their gifts/talents. These young adults receive therapy services,  yoga, mindfulness, and life coaching sessions in a nurturing, fun, judgment-free zone. Carlota will use her skills as aSpiritual Life Coach to work with the  individually and collectively to increase their self-esteem and self-concept and visualize a world where they control their lives and contribute to the community.

Carlota received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish in 1987 from FISK University. She earned her Masters' in Elementary Education in 1993 from Nova Southeastern University. She became certified in Life Coaching in 2013 and is presently working on her doctorate in Education with a concentration in Special Education from Northcentral University.
